Big-Water guru Paul Shapiro is Director and founder of Fire Flow Technology (FFT). FFT specializes in the research, development and training of large flow water delivery systems and fire stream management. Paul has completed extensive research into supplying and applying big water on the fireground. Paul is published frequently in fire service trade magazines. Affectionately known as 'Big Paulie.'

FirefighterCloseCalls.com was an idea born from The Secret List, an independent newsletter produced since 1998 in an effort to bring forward the issues involving injury and death to firefighters... often issues that are ignored, quickly forgotten or just not talked about.
